The Flaps on My PetSafe® Panel Pet Door Insert™ Are Tearing or Stretching
Important Information
Replacement flaps for the PetSafe® Panel Pet Door Insert™ can be purchased on PetSafe.com.
Tearing or stretching of the flap’s mounting holes is usually caused by the mounting hinge and flap not being installed properly or the door rise being too short for your pet.

Ensure the flaps are installed properly in the hinges. Each flap should be sandwiched in its own black hinge and secured in place with 5 screws.

Measure your pet and the rise on your PetSafe® Panel Pet Door Insert™. If your door is installed with the 8-inch rise, and your tallest pet’s shoulder height is 23 inches or taller, reinstall your PetSafe® Panel Pet Door Insert™ using the 10 ½-rise. For more information on measuring your pet, visit How To Measure and Select the Proper Rise on My PetSafe® Panel Pet Door Insert™. For instructions on how to install the 10 ½ - inch rise, visit How To Install My PetSafe® Panel Pet Door Insert™ with a 10 ½ - Inch Rise.
