My PetSafe® SmartDoor™ Connected Pet Door Won’t Unlock or Is Jammed
Inspect the pet door flap for damage. If the flap is damaged or crooked, a replacement flap is needed, which can be purchased through our website here.
Clean the door frame, flap and sensors. In Smart Mode, the door uses motion detection to scan for the key/microchip. Put the pet door in Standard Mode. Using the app, lock and unlock the pet door a few times. Listen for the motor humming or clicking as it tries to engage the lock mechanism.
If you hear the motor but the flap is not unlocking, please contact our Customer Care team for assistance.
Replace the batteries in the pet door. Use the app to lock and unlock the pet door a few times.
