My PetSafe® ScoopFree® OpenSky Self-Cleaning Litter Box Has a Code on the Display

Code L: Child Lock Activated
Child lock mode prevents accidental changes.
To engage or disengage the child lock, visit the ScoopFree® Litter Box app. Select Child Lock in the upper right-hand corner. Select OK to confirm changes to the current setting.
Code P: Sleep Mode
When sleep mode is turned on, you will need to schedule the time frame for this mode to be active. The beginning time will be the time in which the litter box goes to sleep, and the end time is when it awakes and operates normally. For instructions on setting up sleep mode, visit How To Change the Settings on My PetSafe® ScoopFree® OpenSky Self-Cleaning Litter Box.
Code 1: Blocked Infrared Sensor
When an infrared sensor is blocked, a “1” will display on the box. Remove the waste drawer and check that the waste bag and any piled-up litter inside the waste drawer are not blocking the sensor. Disassemble and clean the box. Visit our article How To Clean My PetSafe® ScoopFree® OpenSky Self-Cleaning Litter Box.
Code 2: Cover Not Detected

To clear the code, unplug the litter box. Align the cover over the gears properly. Ensure the pegs are securely in place and plug the litter box back in. Visit How To Set Up My PetSafe® ScoopFree® OpenSky Self-Cleaning Litter Box for assistance with assembly.
Code 3: Current Abnormality
When an abnormal motor current is detected, unplug the litter box and plug it back into the wall outlet.
Verify the weight sensor correctly weighs your pet in the app usage log. If the weight is not within 2 pounds of being accurate, press the weight reset button.
Code 4: Litter Chamber Not Detected

To clear the code, unplug the litter box. Make sure the litter chamber is seated correctly, the latch is locked, and the cover is back on. Then plug the litter box back in. Visit How To Set Up My PetSafe® ScoopFree® OpenSky Self-Cleaning Litter Box for assistance with assembly.
Code 5: Door Closure Abnormality

Remove the litter chamber and make sure nothing is blocking the door from closing.
