My PetSafe® Smart Feed Automatic Pet Feeder is Offline
If your feeder has a flashing light indicating that it is offline, the feeder will continue to feed as previously scheduled if it has power.
Verify home internet is working. If other wireless devices have also lost connection, consider resetting your router and/or contacting your internet service provider.
Reboot your feeder. Visit How to Reboot or Reset the PetSafe® Smart Feed Automatic Pet Feeder.
Uninstall the My PetSafe® app, restart your phone or smart device, then reinstall the My PetSafe® app.
Ensure the feeder is connected to a 2.4 GHz network, not a 5 GHz network.
- Eliminating any Wi-Fi extenders and mesh networks may be necessary.
- If the feeder is connected to a dual-band router, it may be necessary to separate the Wi-Fi bands, so the feeder is connected only to the 2.4 MHz band. Contact your internet provider or the router manufacturer for assistance.
Factory reset your feeder. Visit How to Reboot or Reset the PetSafe® Smart Feed Automatic Pet Feeder.
The factory reset will erase all settings and programming.
