How to Reboot or Reset the PetSafe® Smart Feed Automatic Pet Feeder
Some issues you may encounter with your PetSafe® Smart Feed Automatic Pet Feeder may require a reboot or a reset. If you have a flashing or solid white light on the feeder, it is recommended to first try a reboot. If your issue is not corrected, then try the reset.
A reboot tries to reconnect the feeder to your Wi-Fi while saving all the programmed meals and settings.
A reset is a factory reset that deletes all the programmed meals and settings. This will return the feeder to setup mode.
To Reboot:
- Use the end of a paperclip to press and hold the reset/ reboot button for 3-5 seconds until the LED blinks white to show a successful reboot.
- If the feeder successfully reconnects to your Wi-Fi with internet, the LED will blink blue and then turn solid showing it is fully connected and operational.
To Reset:
- Press and hold the reboot/reset button with the end of a paper clip for 8+ seconds until the LED is solid white to show a successful reset.
- The LED will then show blinking yellow returning the feeder to setup mode.
- Once in setup mode, open the app to continue programming.
