My PetSafe® Microchip Cat Door Won’t Learn My Cat’s Microchip ID
Important Information
This cat door works with 15-digit microchip numbers and can read all FDX-B, 977 and 985 microchips. Compatible microchip brands include Datamars / PetLink, HomeAgain, AVID, 24 PetWatch, AKC Reunite, and Banfield.
Confirm that your cat’s microchip is compatible with the PetSafe® Microchip Cat Door.
Confirm the batteries are installed in the correct direction. Replace the batteries with new ones. For more information, visit our article How to Replace the Batteries in My PetSafe® Microchip Cat Door.
Confirm there are no other pets with microchips or Cat Door Keys nearby.
