How to Replace the Batteries in My PetSafe® Microchip Cat Door
Important Information
With basic operation, the batteries will typically last 12 months.
When the batteries are low, the LED will flash red once every 10 seconds.

Remove the battery compartment cover from the top of the interior frame (with flap). Remove the old batteries from the compartment.

Insert four new AA batteries, in the correct orientation according to the diagram in the compartment. Once installed the green LED will quickly flash 3 times and the cat flap will be ready for programming.

Then replace the battery compartment cover.
Batteries should be Alkaline and non-rechargeable.
