My Dog Is Not Responding to My PetSafe® Collarless Trainer Ultrasonic Training Tool
Important Information
- Do not use this product with dogs less than 6 months old.
- This product is intended for use only with dogs. Never attempt to use it for any purpose not described in this guide. All animals within hearing range will be affected by this product.
- Humans cannot hear the ultrasonic frequencies but may find the product’s effect to be otherwise disturbing. Keep 2 to 3 feet between the product and your ears when using or testing it.
- Do not use this product if your dog is aggressive or is prone to aggressive behavior.
Ensure the trainer is not locked. The frequency switch should be set to either the fixed frequency (top setting) or the variable frequency (middle setting).
We recommend starting with fixed frequency and switching to variable frequency if needed.
Ensure the trainer has power and is sufficiently charged.
- Check the Indicator Light. If it is glowing red, the battery is low and the unit needs to be charged.

You may also check for power by sliding the flashlight switch up to the on position.
During use, ensure the following:
- There are no obstacles between you and your dog.
- You are within 30 feet of your dog.

Every dog responds differently, so try the different sound modes and frequency settings to see what works best for your dog.
