How To Test My PetSafe® SSSCAT® Automatic Spray Deterrent
Power the SSSCAT® off and remove the lid by turning it counterclockwise until the unlock icon on the lid lines up with the arrow on the base.
Remove the spray can. Then place the lid back on the base and turn the lid clockwise to lock it.
Power the spray deterrent on and wait 30 seconds for the unit to complete the warmup. Make sure there is no motion in front of the unit during the 30-second warmup. If you or your pet are standing or moving in front of the unit, it may cause the unit not to activate consistently or at all.
Wave your hand in front of the unit, testing at different distances.

Please note that not all systems have long and short-range modes.
