How To Set Up My PetSafe® Happy Ride® Telescoping Ramp With the Side Door Adaptor
Important Information
The side door adaptor is sold separately and can be purchased through our website here.
For the telescoping ramp, use the larger of the two clamps as shown above.
Assemble the Adaptor
First hook the top part of the clamp over the top of the arched side rail, then rotate the clamp down so the bottom arm clicks into place on the underside of the ramp.
Insert one prong of the door hanger into the loop of the strap next to the spring-loaded adjuster.
Take the end of the strap and pass it through the hole at the top of the plastic clamp, then feed a few inches of the strap through the spring-loaded adjuster.
Install the Ramp With the Adaptor
Place the inside upper corner of the ramp on your vehicle’s seat.
Place the rubber-coated door hanger on the door.
Tighten the strap in the adjuster until the ramp is supported and level.

When your pet is safely in the vehicle, lift the door hanger from the door. Remove the clamp from the ramp rail and slide the ramp back into itself. Then latch the safety strap and stow the ramp.
