How to Change the Mode on My PetSafe® Microchip Cat Door
Important Information

Automatic Mode
This mode is selective pet entry and uses the motion sensor, giving entry access only to pets whose microchips have been programmed to the door.
Please note, the Microchip Cat Door only scans animals coming inside from the exterior side of the door. This cat door does not prevent a pet without a microchip or one with a microchip that has not been paired, from exiting through it.
This mode can be used in conjunction with the Manual 4-Way Lock.
Manual Mode
This mode allows entry and exit for all pets and does not operate using the motion sensor or programmed microchip IDs.
This mode is typically used with the Manual 4-Way Lock to adjust In and Out access.
How to Change Modes
Remove the battery compartment cover. Then quickly press and release the button. The LED will glow solid for 5 seconds and then shut off.
- Automatic Mode- The LED will glow green for 5 seconds. The latch will lock.
- Manual Mode- The LED will glow red for 5 seconds. The latch will unlock.
