How to Assemble My PetSafe® Drinkwell® ½, 1, or 2 Gallon Fountain

After cleaning the pump, reassemble by replacing the impeller, stator, and face plate.

Slide the foam filter on the pump from underneath it. The curved side of the filter goes in front of the blue faceplate on the pump and the pump cord comes out above the filter.

Rinse the carbon filter thoroughly under cold water to remove any loose carbon dust. Insert the filter into the filter housing with the larger side facing down. Then close the filter housing.

Place the filter housing on the pump. Insert the pump and filter assembly into the fountain base, aligning it with the guides. Press down firmly to ensure the pump securely suctions to the fountain base.

Once the pump is securely in place, feed the cord through the hole on the back of the bowl. Remove the extra slack from the cord and push the rubber seal firmly into the hole. Run the end of the cord out the notch on the bottom of the bowl.

Snap together the two halves of the connector tube and insert the tube into the top of the filter housing.

Place the tower over the connector tune, filter housing, pump, and foam filter, aligning it with the raised notches on the back of the bowl. Ensure the top of the connector tube inserts into the hole in the top of the tower.

Insert the flow control knob into the hole on the top of the tower. Turn the knob clockwise to the maximum water stream setting. You can adjust this later once the water is added.

Attach the lid to the tower. Pick up the pet fountain by the bowl and place it in a desired location. Pour water into the bowl, leaving ½ inch of space between the water level and the rim of the bowl.

Make sure the electrical power cord, the adaptor and your hands are completely dry. Connect the in-line plug and make sure no silver is showing, then plug the adaptor into a standard electrical wall outlet.
