Troubleshooting Your Outdoor Bark Control

If your dog is not responding to the ultrasonic tone or there is no light on the birdhouse, follow the instructions below to get the birdhouse working properly.

Confirm Proper Placement

To ensure there is no signal interference, make sure that the birdhouse is:

Facing the area the barking occurs

No more than 5 feet off the ground

Not near any large obstacles

Place the birdhouse in the desired location. It can be hung, mounted, or placed on a flat surface.

Confirm Power

Remove the battery doorRemove the battery door

Remove the battery door on the back of the birdhouse and dispose of the battery.

Insert battery into the compartmentInsert battery into the compartment

Connect a new 9-volt alkaline battery to the battery terminal and insert into the compartment.

Replace the battery doorReplace the battery door

Replace the battery door.

Test Activation

Enable test mode by turning the knob to TEnable test mode by turning the knob to T

Enable test mode by turning the knob to T.

Test the birdhouseTest the birdhouse

Hold the birdhouse at arms length, so that the front is visible. Make a loud noise and watch for the light to flash red and listen for a beep to confirm the sound was detected.
