The Light on the Front of My Simply Clean® Automatic Litter Box Is Flashing Red

If the indicator light is flashing red, it means that there is an issue with the movement of the bowl.

Check the rotation of the litter box:

  1. Unplug the litter box.
  2. Place one piece of tape on the bowl base and another on the litter bowl.
  3. Plug the litter box back in.
  4. Wait a few minutes and then check the position of the tape. The two pieces of tape should be several inches apart.

Is the litter box rotating as expected?

  • If yes, reset the litter box by unplugging it, waiting a few minutes, and then plugging it back in. If the indicator light glows green, the issue is resolved; if it is still flashing red, proceed to the next step.
  • If no, proceed to the next step.

Make sure the small white wheels that assist with the bowl rotation move freely and are not missing. If there are missing wheels, redistribute the remaining wheels as equally as possible. The wheels are easy to remove and replace by hand.
