Set Up the Happy Ride® Dog Barrier

Remove the threaded rods from the straight tubes and discard the plastic spacers.

⁠Place an oval cap firmly onto one end of each straight tube.

Place three mounting brackets onto each straight tube so that they mirror each other.

Inset a short bolt into each mounting bracket and secure with a wingnut. Leave loose to allow for adjustments later.

Screw a large wingnut onto the uncapped end of each threaded rod. Tightly twist a round cap on the same end of each rod.

Place a long bolt in each clamp half with the blue button. Position two clamp halves to each tube, ensuring one is on the extendable section of the tube.

Place the other half of each clamp through the long bolts. Secure with small wingnuts, leaving loose to allow for adjustments later.

Insert the threaded rods into each straight tube to create the support rods.

In the back of your car, stand the support rods up with the round caps on the floor. Rotate the large wingnuts until the oval cap is pressed firmly against the ceiling.

Mount each tube onto the support rods. Press and hold the blue button, slide the clamps onto the rectangular slots, and release.

Adjust each oval tube position by loosening the wingnut on the mounting brackets and sliding the tubes up or down. Tighten the wingnut when the tubes are in the desired position.

Extend each tube left or right by loosening the wingnut on the clamps and moving left or right. Tighten the wingnuts when the tubes are in the desired position.

Press and hold the blue button on the clamps. Simultaneously lift and release from the mounting bracket. Repeat with each oval tube. Release the tension holding the support rods in place.

Place oval tubes and support rods in provided storage bag.
