My SmartDoor™ Connected Pet Door Won’t Unlock or Is Jammed
Inspect the pet door flap. Does it appear damaged or crooked?
- If yes, please contact our Customer Care team for assistance.
- If no, proceed to the next step.
Put the pet door in Standard Mode.
Using the app, lock and unlock the pet door a few times. Listen for the motor; is it humming or clicking as it tries to engage the lock mechanism?
- If you hear the motor but the flap is not unlocking, please contact our Customer Care team for assistance.
- If you do not hear the motor trying to engage the lock, proceed to the next step.
Replace the batteries in the pet door.
Using the app, lock and unlock the pet door a few times. Does the flap unlock?
- If yes, the problem is resolved.
