My PetSafe® Snap-On Closing Panel will not Stay in Place on My Pet Door

Ensure the Snap-On Closing Panel is properly secured in place. The panel notches should be locked into the frame slots. For detailed instructions, visit our article How to Use the PetSafe® Snap-On Closing Panel.

The closing panel may not attach properly if the pet door is installed backward. Please ensure that the interior frame with the flap is installed inside your house.

Ensure the mounting screws on the frame of the pet door have not been overtightened. This can cause the frame to warp which will not let the closing panel lock into place. Unscrew each mounting screw by a half-turn and try the closing panel again. Continue to loosen all screws by a half-turn as needed.
