My PetSafe® Hydrosphere™ 60oz Cordless Fountain Has Low or No Flow
Important Information
When operating on battery power, the fountain switches to motion-detected flow mode to conserve energy. In this mode, no lights are visible on the fountain. When your pet approaches the fountain, the lights and pump turn on. When the fountain is not in use, the lights and pump turn off.
Ensure the fountain is powered on. Press and release the power button. The power light indicates the battery level.
If there is no light after you press the power button, plug the charging cord into the fountain base and plug the other end into a 5V, 2A USB-A adaptor or outlet. While charging, the power light pulses blue and will change to solid blue when charging is complete. For more information, visit How To Charge My PetSafe® Hydrosphere™ 60oz Cordless Fountain.
Ensure the water level light is not red. If the water level light pulses red, the water level in the bowl is low even if there is water in the tray. The water level must remain above the pump for the fountain to properly flow. Refill the fountain.
Confirm the tray is properly seated so that the tube on the pump is in the rubber gasket in the center of the tray. Power off the fountain before making adjustments to the tray to avoid water potentially spraying out.
If the fountain has power, remove the filter and run the fountain. If the flow improves without the filter, replace the filter and reset the filter reminder. For more information, visit How To Reset the Reminder and Replace the Filter in My PetSafe® Hydrosphere™ 60oz Cordless Fountain.
If there is still low or no flow with the filter removed, disassemble the pump, soak the pump parts in a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar for 15 minutes, then thoroughly scrub and rinse each part. For more information, visit How To Disassemble and Clean the Pump for My PetSafe® Hydrosphere™ 60oz Cordless Fountain.
Ensure that none of the pump parts were disposed of and the pump was fully assembled during setup and after cleaning.
