My Electronic Pet Door Has a Flashing Yellow Light

Important Information

If your pet door has a flashing yellow light, it is indicating the flap is jammed or cannot close properly.

Check around the flap and pet door, inside and outside, and remove any obstructions.

Inspect the edge of the flap, the hinge tabs along the top of the flap and the ridge on the frame where the flap locks over. Clear any debris.

Ensure the plastic tabs at the top of the flap are not broken or damaged. If they are contact our customer care.

Make sure each tab is properly secured around the metal hinge rod. If they are not, loosen the top row of screws on the flap to allow the two flap halves to separate. Adjust the flap so all the tabs secure around the hinge rod, then tighten the screws.

Press and hold the Mode Reset button until the light is green, then release.

The door will automatically lift the flap.

Check that the flap can move freely in Unlocked mode. Gently press on the flap to open, testing both entering and exiting directions.

Confirm the error is resolved. Press and hold the Mode Reset button until the light is red, then release.

The door should automatically lock. Upon a successful lock, you may put the door into your desired mode.

If your door jams frequently, check that the pet door is level. Small adjustments may need to be made to the opening to ensure the door is level.
