Introducing Your Pet to the Indoor Radio Fence
Keep in Mind
Monitor your pet during the first couple of times with the barrier before leaving him alone.
Training time will vary with each pet. It may take several times for your pet to understand the barrier area.
Make sure the collar is fitted properly for the correction to be delivered to your pet.
Items Needed
Treats
Leash
Non-metallic collar
Training
Attach a leash to a second, non-metallic collar placed above the training collar on your pet.
Walk your pet up to the barrier area.
Walk away from the barrier area when the collar begins to beep.
Give praise to your pet each time he leaves the barrier area.
Repeat until your pet understands the barrier area.
Note: If your pet is familiar with an in-ground fence, use the correction level they respond to.
If your pet is not familiar with an in-ground fence, increase the correction level one level at a time, and repeat training until signs of recognition are shown.
