Understanding Your Harness
D-Ring
Connection point for leash.
Girth Straps
Adjustable straps design to fit around the chest of your dog.
Shoulder Straps
Adjustable straps designed to fit around your dog’s shoulders
O-Ring
Sits on the chest of your dog for control during walks.
Fit Your Harness
Proper Fit
Offer treats and praise to your dog during and after measurements
Measure the girth of your dog behind the front legs and around the rib cage.
Choose the appropriate size harness based on girth measurements.
Adjust Shoulder Strap
With the harness unbuckled, place the shoulder straps over your dog’s head.
Adjust the shoulder straps so that the O-ring sits on or above your dog’s chest bone.
Adjust the Girth Strap
Bring the girth strap between your dog’s front legs.
Attach the girth straps to the buckles on your dog’s back. Adjust for a snug fit.
Adjust the strap under your dog’s chest to ensure it is not hanging loose.
When fit properly, two fingers should barely fit between the skin and nylon strap. This prevents the harness from moving and chafing your dog’s skin.
How to Use
Place the properly fitted harness on your dog.
Attach a leash to the D-ring and have your dog walk calmly beside you.
