Important: Set up the ball launcher away from your dog as they are not yet acclimated to the sounds the unit will make. Training will be located further in the article.
Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the ball launcher and insert batteries (not included).
Turn the unit on and listen for the tone to play. The unit will then beep twice.
Note: For optimal use, we recommend using the power adapter indoors only. Otherwise, use battery power.
Place one ball in the hopper area.
Allow the ball to launch, as is, once. The ball launcher will come out of the package set to the lowest distance and angle settings.
Step 2: Angle and Distance Setting

Adjust the angle or distance by pulling(a) and turning counter-clockwise(b) to increase the distance or height.
Note: Angle and distance settings may need to be adjusted for indoor or outdoor play.
Step 3: Training
Treats
Praise
Tennis balls
Place the ball launcher indoors or outdoors ensuring there is plenty of room to launch a tennis ball. The unit should be off.
Important: Ensure there are no tennis balls in the launcher at this time.
Allow your dog to approach the ball launcher offering treats and praise as he does so. Repeat this until your dog is comfortable around the unit.
Turn the unit on. Give treats and praise as the unit tones and beeps. Turn the unit on and off allowing your dog to feel comfortable with the sounds. Repeat as necessary.
With your dog at a distance, place one tennis ball inside the launcher and allow your dog to watch it launch. Offer treats and praise and repeat until your dog is comfortable from a distance.
Move your dog and the unit closer to each other and continue placing a ball into the launcher. Offer treats and praise as your dog begins to play with the tennis balls.
Note: Ensure you and your dog are not within the seven foot safety zone of the ball launcher. Otherwise, the unit will not launch.
