How to Use the Happy Ride® Side Door Pet Steps
Before You Begin:
The location of the stairs will need to be a level surface and will need to allow for the car door to open all the way.
Lift the stairs to the level closest to being flush with the car seat. Move the support bar into place to lock the stairs. There are only three levels to choose from. For large vehicles, It may be necessary for the pet to enter at floor level.
Short-legged dogs may find it difficult to use the stairs at the steepest setting. Adjust the stairs so the pet enters at floor-level.
Move the stairs inward as close to the seat as possible. There should not be a gap between the top of the stairs and the car seat.
