How to Troubleshoot A PetSafe® Rechargeable Bark Collar That Will Not Charge
The PetSafe® Rechargeable Bark Collar is rechargeable in approximately two hours. When the unit is placed on the charger, the collar will have a solid green light. Once the charge is complete, the green light on the collar will go out. The steps below will walk you through troubleshooting your system when there are no lights or a red light on the collar when it is placed on the charger.
Remove the collar from the pet before any troubleshooting.
Inspect the charge port for damage or debris.
- If the two charging pins are bent or missing, please contact Customer Care for further assistance.
- If there is dirt or debris inside the charge port, rinse it clean under running water. These units are waterproof and submersible with or without the rubber mud flap in place.
If you have the USB charge cord plugged into a device such as a computer, ensure that the computer is unlocked and awake for the duration of the charge.
Plug your charger into another wall outlet. If it is still not indicating a charge with a solid green light, try another USB charge block if there is one available. Contact Customer Care for further assistance if the issue persists.
If the collar lights red on the charger, please contact Customer Care.
