How to Troubleshoot a Guardian® GPS Connected Customizable Fence Collar Not Communicating with the Base Unit

Secure your pet and remove their collar before troubleshooting.

Confirm the base unit has a secure Wi-Fi connection indicated by a solid blue light on the base unit.

Shake the collar to prevent it from going to sleep.

Verify the placement of the base unit:

  • Is in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Not in a building with a metal roof.
  • Is on the ground level of the building.
  • Is at least 5 feet off the ground.
