How to Troubleshoot a Flashing Red Light on the PetSafe® Elite Little Dog Spray Bark Collar

A red flashing light on the PetSafe® Elite Little Dog Spray Bark Collar indicates the battery needs to be replaced. If you have already replaced the battery and are experiencing the low battery indicator, ensure the battery is a PetSafe® Brand RFA-188 battery and continue to step one.

Remove the collar from your pet.

Use a coin to remove the battery from the collar.

Note: You may wish to cover the spray nozzle with a cloth before performing the next step as the collar may spray.

While the battery is out of the collar, drain the battery memory by blowing into the microphone and rubbing the edge of a quarter across the back of the collar at the same time for at least 10 seconds or until the collar no longer sprays.

Insert a new PetSafe® Brand RFA-188 battery.
