How to Train Your Pet to the PetSafe® Stay & Play® Fence Phase 1: Boundary Awareness

Training your pet to a PetSafe® Stay & Play® Fence is essential for a successful integration into yours and your pet’s lives.

At a minimum, you will need to commit to three sessions, on three different days of training for 10-15 minutes each session for each phase. You will also need to have toys and treats available for praise at each session.

If your pet shows signs of stress, increase the amount of play time in the pet area. Signs of stress can include ears tucked, tail down, cowering, pulling on the leash or stiffening. Discontinue the training session when your pet is no longer a willing participant.
