How To Take Apart My PetSafe® Seascape Pet Fountain Pump for Cleaning

Important Information

  • Your pump should be taken apart and cleaned each time you disassemble and clean the fountain.
  • If you have “hard water” you may start to see white mineral deposits on or down inside the pump. This may eventually prevent the impeller from turning properly.
  • Our Drinkwell® Fountain Cleaning Kit has a brush specially designed to clean inside the pump. The kit can be purchased through PetSafe.com.

Important: Do not use bleach or any other harsh chemicals.

If there is mineral build-up or your pump has stopped working, soak the parts in a 50/50 water and white vinegar solution for at least 15 minutes before scrubbing.
