How to Set Up the PetSafe® Pawz Away® Indoor Pet Barrier
Before You Begin
An appropriate environment for your Pawz Away® Indoor Pet Barrier is important. Keep in mind that the barrier:
- Should not be placed within 5 feet of metal.
- Should not be placed on metal.
- Should not be outdoors.
Remove the battery door on the back of the barrier.
Install 3 AA batteries and replace the back of the barrier.
Press the (+) button on the front of the barrier to turn the barrier on.
Adjust the range on the barrier using the (+) and (-) buttons. The black bar at the bottom left of the screen will increase or decrease each time. Each segment is an additional 2 feet in diameter. The radius is the distance from the center of the barrier out to the boundary.
Using the edge of the Test Light Tool or a coin, turn the collar on (I).
Test the collar by approaching the barrier using the Test Light Tool for functionality. Be sure to hold the collar at your pet's neck height.
