How to Select a Suitable Location for the PetSafe® Stay & Play® Fence
Ensure the Base Unit is:
In a climate-controlled environment. Locations without climate control are problematic as changes in temperatures create condensation, even if the unit is placed in a water- tight container.
Not confined or in a closet due to lack of ventilation.
Placed as close to the containment area’s ground-level as possible.
Uncovered and has proper air flow to prevent over-heating.
All metal objects are at least 5 feet away from the base unit. (ex. refrigerator, toolbox, circuit breaker box, furnace, or A/C unit). Be sure to consider any metal on the other side of the wall.
