How to Replace the Flaps on My PetSafe® Extreme Weather Sliding Glass Pet Door™
Important Information
- The flaps are all connected as one unit and must all be replaced at the same time.
- Single flaps are not compatible with the Extreme Weather Sliding Glass Pet Door™.
Identify Your Flap Size
Identify the size of flap you need by the number of mounting screws holding the flap assembly. Ensure you purchase the correct size and style. Replacement flaps can be purchased through our website here.
Replace Flap Assembly
Remove the screws and nuts from the bracket holding the flaps in place. Be careful to not misplace the screws and nuts as they will be reused with the new flap assembly.
Pull down on the flap set to remove the flaps and bracket from the frame.
Slide the flap assembly out of the bracket. Insert a new set of flaps back into the bracket.
Replace the bracket in the pet door.
Secure the bracket in the frame using the nuts and screws.
