How to Replace the Battery in a PetSafe® Stay & Play® With Replaceable Battery Collar
Your collar uses an RFA-67 battery. They can be purchased directly from our website located HERE or for assistance with locating a local retailer, visit our Local Retailer Lookup. In addition to a new battery, you will also need a coin or the Test Light Tool that was included with your collar.
Before you begin, remove the collar from the pet.
Remove the existing battery using the Test Light Tool or a coin to turn the battery counterclockwise to the Unlock symbol on the collar.
- The battery is sealed within the black cap and does not come out. The battery and cap are replaced as one unit.
While the battery is out, discharge the battery memory by pressing and holding the power button on the collar for 10 seconds or until all lights and beeps cease.
Inspect the inside of the collar for any corrosion. If any corrosion is present, please contact Customer Care for further assistance.
Install the new battery. Ensure the arrow on the battery is lined up with the locked symbol on the collar.
