How To Fit My PetSafe® GPS Customizable Dog Fence Collar
Avoid leaving the collar on the pet for more than 12 hours per day to prevent skin irritation. If redness or irritation is observed, discontinue use of the product until the skin no longer appears to be irritated.
Remember to remove the collar from your pet whenever you take them out of the pet area. The collar should also be removed when your pet is inside the home.

Ensure the collar is powered off, by making sure there is nothing on the screen.
- To power off, press and hold the power button. The collar tones and vibrates twice to confirm it is powering off.

Select the appropriate Contact Points.
- The short Contact Points are appropriate for most dogs.
- Use the long Contact Points if your dog has long or thick fur that prevents the short Contact Points from reaching your dog’s skin.
- Use the comfort tips if your dog is sensitive to the metal Contact Points. They protect your dog’s skin while still allowing them to feel any static corrections.

With your dog standing, position the collar so the Contact Points touch the skin on the side of the neck and the antenna rests on the top of the neck.
- You may have to move some hair out of the way in order to get the Contact Points to make contact. Do NOT shave the fur.
- Always place the collar with the PetSafe® logo right side up.

Tighten the collar until you can fit only one finger between the Contact Point and your dog’s skin.
Let your dog wear the collar for several minutes, then recheck the fit.
- As your dog's neck muscles relax, you may need to tighten the collar.
Adjust the strap again if needed.

Once the collar is correctly fitted, you may trim the excess strap. Leave room for puppy growth and winter coats.
