How To Disassemble and Clean the Pump for My PetSafe® Hydrosphere™ 60oz Cordless Fountain
Important Information
Disassemble and clean your pump and fountain every two to four weeks.
Do not discard any pump parts. The filter is the only disposable piece.
Press and release the power button to turn the fountain off.
Lift the splash guard to remove it and the tray together.
Lift the pump assembly from the bottom of the bowl. You may feel resistance due to its magnetic connection.
Slide the filter out of the faceplate and discard it if needed.
Remove the faceplate and tube.
Remove the Stator by pulling on the small tab.
Remove the Impeller by pulling up from underneath the yellow plastic. This piece is magnetic and will need gentle force to remove it.
Thoroughly clean the inside of the pump and all pump parts. Use mild dish soap and warm water. If there is mineral buildup, soak the parts in a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar for at least 15 minutes, then scrub. Once clean, reassemble the Impeller, Stator, tube, and faceplate.
