How to Connect the PetSafe® SMART DOG® Trainer to My Phone
Things to Know
- Use the app with a Bluetooth® 4.0 compatible phone with iOS 8/Android™ 5 or later.
- WiFi is not needed for this product.
- Training time will vary with each dog.
- Waterproof to five feet for 30 minutes.
- Intended for dogs six months and older.
- Range can be affected by metal interference.
Before Proceeding, Make Sure That:
- Your collar is charged and powered on.
- The Bluetooth® setting on your phone is turned on.
- No other phone is connected to the collar.
- If connected to another phone, you will need to remove the collar at the bottom of the settings screen.
Download the My PetSafe® app from your phone’s app store and open the app.
For iOS users, use My PetSafe® on the App Store (apple.com)
For Android users, use My PetSafe® - Apps on Google Play
Press the Get Started button and follow the prompts to begin setting up the app.
Select Add A Pet and follow the prompts to set up your pet profile.
Select Add A Product, and then choose Select from the Product List. Select SmartDog Trainer and then follow the prompts to set up your SMARTDOG Trainer.
During the setup process you will be prompted to create a pin or enter a pin. If prompted to enter the pin and you do not remember the pin, please visit How to Reset the PIN on the PetSafe® SMART DOG® Trainer.
