How to Connect the PetSafe® SMART DOG® Trainer to My Phone

Things to Know

  • Use the app with a Bluetooth® 4.0 compatible phone with iOS 8/Android™ 5 or later.
  • WiFi is not needed for this product.
  • Training time will vary with each dog.
  • Waterproof to five feet for 30 minutes.
  • Intended for dogs six months and older.
  • Range can be affected by metal interference.

Before Proceeding, Make Sure That:

  • Your collar is charged and powered on.
  • The Bluetooth® setting on your phone is turned on.
  • No other phone is connected to the collar.

Download the My PetSafe® app from your phone’s app store and open the app.

For iOS users, use My PetSafe® on the App Store (apple.com)

For Android users, use My PetSafe® - Apps on Google Play

Press the Get Started button and follow the prompts to begin setting up the app.

Select Add A Pet and follow the prompts to set up your pet profile.

Add a Product HighlightedAdd a Product Highlighted

Select Add A Product and follow the prompts to set up your SMARTDOG Trainer.
