How To Clean My PetSafe® ScoopFree® Clumping Self-Cleaning Litter Box

Regular monthly cleaning can reduce odor and extend the life of your litter box.

Avoid using soaps, cleaners, or chemicals with strong odors or cat-repellant scents like citrus, lavender, peppermint, etc.

Empty the litter for the waste bin or if you use one, remove and dispose of the waste bin liner.

DO NOT use any soaps or cleaners that would leave residue on the sensors. DO NOT use bleach or chemicals to clean as they can act as a repellent to your cat.

Thoroughly dry all parts before reassembling the litter box.

Tip: Spray the rake with cooking spray and let it set to dry before reinstalling. This will help prevent items from sticking to the rake.

IMPORTANT: Never spray the cooking spray onto the rake when installed in the litter box. This can cause the litter to clump very hard and potentially lead to damage.

Lock The Rake

Reassemble the litter box.

IMPORTANT: Installing the rake with the bar facing the back of the litter box and locking the rake in are essential.

Refill the litter box up to the maximum fill line.
