How To Clean My PetSafe® Pet Loo™ Pet Toilet
Important Information
- Do NOT use bleach, chemical cleaners, products containing citrus, or boiling water on the Pet Loo™.
- Using any cleaning agents other than Wee Care on the tray may repel or deter your pet and impact the use of the Pet Loo™. Wee Care is a 100% biodegradable enzyme-based cleaner that is safe for people, pets, and the planet. It can be purchased through our website here.
General Maintenance
Daily: Pour warm water over the grass to flush out extra urine. Do not use boiling water.
2-3 times per week: Spray the grass with Wee Care.
Every 2-4 days or as necessary: Remove and replace the Pee-Pod™ with Wee Sponge™.
Weekly Cleaning
Pull open the collection bin. Remove and discard the entire Pee-Pod™.
Thoroughly spray the Pet Loo™ with Wee Care and leave for 5-10 minutes. Alternatively, you may soak the unit in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water for several hours or overnight, if necessary. Then clean with a clean cloth or sponge.
Remove the grass and wash down the entire unit with mid-pressured water like a hose or in the shower.
Hang or place the grass somewhere so it can air dry completely before replacing it on the Pet Loo™. Additional replacement grass can be helpful during cleaning, allowing you to replace the grass on the Pet Loo™ while the recently cleaned grass is drying. Place a new Pee-Pod™ in the collection bin and add one scoop of Wee Sponge™ to the Pee-Pod™. Replacement Pee-Pod™ with Wee Sponge™ Urine Disposal Kits can be purchased through our website here.
