How to Choose Between the PetSafe® Stay & Play® Stubborn Collar vs. the Standard Collar

Most pets will utilize a standard strength collar. The stubborn collars are usually reserved for the most stubborn of pets and should not be used on timid pets. The stubborn collar has the same number of levels as the standard collars; however, each level is approximately 50% stronger. Below are a few ways to tell if your pet may do well with a stubborn collar and which collars are standard versus stubborn strength.

Your pet may do better with a stubborn collar, rather than a standard collar, if your pet fits any of the situations below.

• Your pet is already trained to a static correction device, and he only responds at higher levels.
• Your pet does not usually respond to a training command the first time they are told.
• Your pet has a high prey drive.
• Your pet is a fence jumper.
• Your pet is an escape artist.
