How to Change the Electronic Pet Door Key Battery
Important Information
- The key will indicate a low battery by flashing a red light.
- Only use PetSafe RFA-67 batteries. Using third party batteries can cause issues with the functionality of the key.
Move 10 feet or more away from the pet door before changing the battery in the key.
Use a coin to turn the battery counter-clockwise to unlock the battery.
Remove the battery from the key and discard.
Place the new battery in the key.
Use a coin to push in and turn the battery clockwise, locking it into position.
Test the key. Slowly walk the key towards the flap until the pet door unlocks and your hand can push the flap open.
