How to Change the Batteries in My PetSafe® SSSCAT® Automatic Spray Deterrent

Remove the lid from the base of the spray deterrent.

Turn the lid over. Insert your finger into the notch behind the battery cover and pull the battery cover forward to remove it.

Remove the spent batteries and replace them with four new AAA alkaline batteries. Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly according to the labels on the lid.

Do not use rechargeable batteries.

Replace the battery cover by inserting the two tabs at the front of the battery cover under the two clips on the base and then press the battery cover down into position.

Replace the lid on the base, making sure to fit the opening on the bottom of the lid over the nozzle of the spray can. Turn the lid clockwise to lock it.
