How To Adjust the Size of My PetSafe® Pawz Away® 2.0 Collar
Important Information
Correctly fitting the collar on your dog is necessary for the collar to be effective. With the collar powered off, adjust the strap until proper fit is achieved. For more information, visit How To Fit the PetSafe® Pawz Away® 2.0 Collar on My Dog.
All adjustments should be made while the collar is off your dog. Check the fit after each adjustment.
Avoid leaving the collar on the dog for more than 12 hours per day to prevent skin irritation. If you notice redness or irritation, discontinue use of the product until the skin is no longer irritated.
Tighten the Collar Strap

Buckle the collar strap.

Feed the excess strap through the slide until it is free.

Move the slide away from the buckle.

Feed the strap with the slide through the buckle, decreasing the distance between the buckle and slide.

Once the desired fit is achieved, feed the excess strap back through both sides of the slide to hold the fit in place.

To center the device on the strap, hold the device and pull the strap on the side with the slide until the device and buckle are opposite of each other. This will make it easier to put the collar on your dog.

Trim the Strap

Trim the excess strap. Consider leaving some extra to allow for additional coat thickness in winter or if the dog is not fully grown.
Once the strap is cut, prevent it from unraveling by melting the end slightly with a lighter.
