How to Adjust the Flap on My PetSafe® Pet Door

Important Information

Temperature changes from the seasons can cause stretching or shrinkage of the flap, resulting in the flap needing to be adjusted.

The magnet bottom of the flap should seal with the magnet in the threshold of the pet door opening.

Flap Installed Too LowFlap Installed Too Low

If there is a gap between the magnets, the flap should be adjusted down.

If the magnet is all the way down and the flap is bowing, the flap should be adjusted up.

Using a Philips screwdriver, loosen the screws across the top of the flap.

Adjust the flap vertically, ensuring no gap on the sides between the frame and flap, and that the magnets at the bottom are creating a seal. Once in place, tighten the corner screws to hold in place. Then tighten the remaining screws.
