How To Adjust Settings and Notifications on My PetSafe® SmartDoor™ Connected Pet Door
Choose Door Access:
Open the My PetSafe® app.
Select your door from the product list.

Press the access icon to show the access options: Full Access, In Only, Out Only, and No Access. Choose the icon for how you would like the door to operate.
If your door is in Standard Mode instead of Smart Mode, you will only have Lock and Unlock options.
- Full Access: Lets a pet with a paired key/microchip unlock the door to go out or come in.
- In Only: Lets a pet with a paired key/microchip unlock the door to come in but not go out.
- Out Only: Lets a pet with a paired key/microchip unlock the door to go out but not back in.
- No Access: Pets cannot unlock the door to go out or come in, even with paired keys/microchips.
Choose Door Behavior During Power Loss
If you are using a power adaptor, you can keep batteries in the door to act as a battery backup in the event of a power loss. Power adaptors can be purchased through our website here.
Open the My PetSafe® app.
Select your door from the product list.

Tap Settings.

Tap Door Details.

Select Power Loss Behavior.

Choose Unlocked or Locked. Make sure the check is next to how you want the door to behave.
When unlocked, the door allows all animals to enter and exit freely. If there is no power, the key/microchip system will not function.
Adjust the Notifications
Open the My PetSafe® app.
Select your door from the product list.

Tap Settings.

Tap Notifications.

Toggle the notifications you want to blue. Toggle to grey if you do not want to receive that notification.
To receive notifications, they must be enabled in your phone settings for the My PetSafe® app as well. Certain modes on your phone such as Do Not Disturb, Theater, or Sleep Mode will override any previously selected notification settings and will not send notifications.
