How To Activate Manual Clean on My PetSafe® ScoopFree® SmartSpin™ Self-Cleaning Litter Box

The SmartSpin™ can be triggered to scoop the box manually by pressing the Cleaning Button gently on the front of the box for 1 second and releasing. To pause a cleaning cycle in progress, press and release the Cleaning Button again. If the cat entry light comes on while pressing the button, you are pressing too hard. You will need to wait for the light to go out before trying again. If Child-Lock is enabled in the app, the Cleaning Button will be disabled on the SmartSpin™ control panel.

To trigger the SmartSpin™ using the app, open the app and select Manual Cycle. Select OK when asked “Do you want to start cleaning now?” The screen will show “Cleaning in progress” until the cycle is complete.
