How to Acclimate Your Pet to a Ramp
Before setting the ramp up, follow the steps below to make sure your pet is comfortable using the ramp.
Place the ramp flat on the ground and lead your pet across with treats. Encourage your pet by giving treats as he walks across the ramp. Once your pet is comfortable on the ramp, set the ramp up in the desired location.
Note: If the ramp extends, extend it all the way.
Encourage your pet to use the ramp with treats and praise. It may take several attempts before your pet is comfortable walking up the ramp.
Important: If your pet is not using the ramp while it’s set up, try the ramp on the ground again or set it up at a more gradual incline.
