How To Acclimate My Pet to the PetSafe® Hydrosphere™ 60oz Cordless Fountain
When you introduce the PetSafe® Hydrosphere™ 60oz Cordless Fountain, your pet may be cautious around the new object. After you set up the fountain, allow your pet to adjust at their own pace. Some pets may take several days or longer to begin using the fountain.
Your pet may prefer the fountain to be placed away from their usual feeding area. Try placing it somewhere else, such as the laundry room, bathroom, or a corner of the kitchen.
When operating on battery power, the fountain switches to motion-detected flow mode to conserve energy. In this mode, no lights are visible on the fountain. When your pet approaches the fountain, the lights and pump turn on. When the fountain is not in use, the lights and pump turn off. This may startle your pet.
- If your pet continues to be cautious around the fountain, try leaving it powered off until your pet is comfortable drinking from it.
To power it off, press and release the power button on the base. - Once your pet is comfortable drinking from the fountain, turn it on but keep it plugged into an outlet. This allows the fountain to flow continuously. Allow time for your pet to adjust while it is running.
To power it on, press and release the power button on the base. The power light will glow solid blue. - When your pet is comfortable drinking from the running fountain, unplug it and use it on battery power. Allow time for your pet to acclimate to the pump and lights turning on when they approach the fountain.
