How to Acclimate My Pet to the PetSafe® Drinkwell® Stainless Multi-Pet Fountain

Some pets may hesitate to drink from the fountain. If your pet is hesitant, try the tips below to help acclimate your pet to their new fountain. Acclimation time will vary from pet to pet.

• Don’t plug the fountain in for the first few days. Your pet may be intimidated by the running water.

Change to a spout with fewer streams. Remove the flow control cap by pulling upward. Then remove the existing spout by pulling upwards. Press the replacement spout into place and replace the flow control cap.

Reduce the speed of the flow by turning the flow control cap in a counterclockwise direction. This will make the water flow quieter for your pet.
