Understanding the Ready Test

The Ready Test is a self-check that the collar performs to notify you of battery health and to ensure all circuits are functioning properly.

  • If the collar is working, it will then run the Perfect Fit test and your pet is ready to go outside.
  • If the collar fails the Ready Test or detects an issue, it will beep continually with a red light for 20 seconds before shutting off. The collar will not be operational, nor will it contain your pet.

The Ready Test will automatically begin running once the collar has been removed from the charger or upon being turned on.

As the Ready Test runs, you will see a series of lights. The lights will flash red, green, or red and green together to indicate battery status for 5 seconds and then will begin flashing red as the collar cycles through the correction levels. If the collar fails the test, it will have a solid red light, beep for 20 seconds, and power off. If the test passes, it will go into the Perfect Fit mode.

During the Ready Test, it is important that the contact points are not touched. This can cause the test to fail.

Understanding Perfect Fit

Perfect Fit mode assists in fitting the collar properly to the pet. This mode ensures the collar is tight enough that it can deliver the correction when needed.

When the collar is in Perfect Fit Mode, the collar will flash red and green together every second. It will remain in Perfect Fit Mode for 90 seconds, or shorter if the proper fit is detected.

Once proper fit is detected, the collar will flash green every second and emit 5 consecutive double tones.
