Fence Setting Failed - PetSafe® GPS Customizable Dog Fence
If the collar is unable to save the fence, the LCD screen will display the message “Fence Setting Failed” and provide information to help you complete your fence.
Most Common Issues
- Trying to create a boundary smaller than 3/4 of an acre
- Trying to cross boundary lines over one another
- Placing fence posts less than 20 feet apart
Tips for Success
- The boundary area must be over 3/4 of an acre.
- Avoid obstructions such as dense tree cover and large metal objects.
- Place all fence posts in uncovered areas.
- Begin on a day when you have a clear view of the sky.
- Keep posts at least 25 feet from obstructions.
- Keep boundary lines 25 feet from dangerous areas such as roadways.
