Alarm on the PetSafe® Stay & Play® Wireless Fence

When you experience an alarm with your system, it is important to note that your system is not functioning properly.

Please safely contain your pet(s) and remove the pet’s collar(s) before proceeding to the next steps.

Identify the Issue

A Single Beep: Power Loss Alarm- The unit has lost power.

The single beep will persist for 20 minutes if the issue is not resolved or silenced.

Correct the Issue

  • Verify the base unit was not accidentally unplugged.
  • Verify the power cord has not been knocked loose.
  • Confirm the wall outlet has power.
  • Power Outage: Silence the alarm and plug the unit back into a working outlet once your service is restored.

Silence the Alarm if Unable to Resolve the Issue

Remove the power cord from the bottom of the base unit until issue can be resolved.

Even though the alarm has been silenced, there is still an issue with the containment system. You must address the issue indicated by the alarm.
